According to Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times, the Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Joe Flacco still have two major obstacles to overcome before they can get any closer to getting a contract extension worked out.
The first problem the Ravens and Flacco have to figure out is the lack of salary cap room they currently have. The only way to get more cap room is to either cut players or restructure the contracts of some players on their current roster.
The other issue is the fact that the Ravens and Flacco’s representatives don’t agree on how much guaranteed money he deserves. Sooner or later both sides will figure out how to meet in the middle. Until then, things won’t go anywhere.
