After an average season for wide receiver Randy Moss, I believe it’s almost certain he’ll retire. He’s clearly not the same player and wasn’t happy about his role with the 49ers in 2012.
Even though head coach Jim Harbaugh has indicated he wants Moss back, it doesn’t mean Randy will want to play for him next year. I also can’t imagine any other teams wanting to bring in Moss. He still doesn’t play hard every play and isn’t the factor he once was.
Moss is still a red zone threat, but he doesn’t even command double-teams like he once did. There’s simply not enough value associated with him for any team to sign him.
