NFL.com caught up with Green Bay wide receiver Randall Cobb.
He was asked if he Packers have reached out to him about getting a new contract done.
“Not that I know of,” Cobb said. “My agent hasn’t mentioned it to me, so I don’t know if there’s been any talks.”
Cobb would love to sign a long-term deal in Green Bay.
“I would definitely love that,” he said. “But unfortunately that won’t be my decision. That will be on the team to come to me with that decision.”
“I would love to get it out the way and not to have to worry about any of the conversations or answering any questions during the season that would take away from what we’re trying to do as a football team.”
The Packers certainly don’t need to rush into signing Cobb to a long-term deal since he’s on the books to make under a million dollars in 2014.
