According to Rotoworld.com, general manager Reggie McKenzie and the Oakland Raiders have decided to pay defensive end Richard Seymour the $7.5 million roster bonus that he’s due this offseason.
There was some speculation that Seymour might be cut because of his bonus, but instead the Raiders decided to pay him and keep him.
Syemour will now make $15 million in 2012 and is fully guaranteed the entire $30 million extension he signed in 2011. That’s a lot of money to pay a 32 year-old player that is on the back end of his career,
