An Arizona Cardinals team insider has told Dan Arkush of ProFootballWeekly.com that quarterback Ryan Lindley has been impressive so far in camp.
“He has impressed,” the insider told Arkush. “He’s real mature, and you can tell by how quickly he picks things up that he’s been pretty well-coached. He doesn’t make the same mistake twice.
“I don’t see him being in the mix right away, but maybe by the middle of the season, if the team is struggling at quarterback, he could be a factor.”
“I think he’s more of the physical prototype QB than Hall,” the insider said to Arkush. “He’s not as accurate as Hall was, but he’s got a stronger arm and more natural skills.”
With both Kevin Kolb and John Skelton not looking good in the preseason, a guy like Lindley could sneak up and become the starter.
