According to Tom Rock of Newsday, Jets wide receiver Plaxico Burress didn’t rule out a possible return to the New York Giants, during an interview on SiriusXM radio on Tuesday.
“It’s always a great possibility,” said Burress. “Playing in Kevin Gilbride’s system is definitely one of the best and you see the production those guys are having at the wide receiver position … And Eli has really just become a man at his position, leading those guys … I’m just looking (for) an opportunity to go to an offense, be productive, have fun, make some plays in these last few years and the goal is always to win a championship.”
Even though Burress is open to returning to the Giants once he becomes a free agent on March 13th, the Eagles are still at the top of his list.
If the Giants are able to land Burress, he would be a good replacement for Manningham, who’ll certianly leave in free agency.
