Quarterback Peyton Manning had a great first season with the Denver Broncos, after only falling 1 game short of the Super Bowl and a Rahim Moore fingertip away from the Championship game. Manning, who has a small window left to win his 2nd Super Bowl, wants to see his teammates “on edge” per Dan Hanzus of NFL.com
“I know that (executive vice president of football operations) John Elway wants to sort of set kind of an attitude and an edge around here — maybe a little bit of an uncomfortable atmosphere — which I believe in,” Manning said.
“Last year was good, but it wasn’t great, and we’re looking for that great season and to finish off with a championship season. We have so much work that we have to do.”
In my opinion, the Broncos are a lock to make the playoffs playing in the weak AFC West, where their only possible opponent is the Kansas City Chiefs. Couple that with the fact that some believe the Broncos had the best free agency period, signing Wes Welker along with some other key free agents, and you’ll end up with the media’s (and possibly everyone’s) favorite to win the Super Bowl.
