Pete Carroll got advice from Carson Palmer about Terrell Owens
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll told the News Tribune that he spoke with Raiders quarterback Carson Palmer about bringing in Terrell Owens.
“Carroll said that he’s known Owens since his days in San Francisco. Carroll also said that in doing his research on Owens that he talked with his former quarterback at USC Carson Palmer about Owens, and received a good report,” wrote Eric Williams of the News Tribune.
“It’s interesting now how he is,” Carroll said. “He’s extremely hungry, and he is humble. And he’s determined to finish his career on a good note. And he wants to be part of the team, and he wants to play football.”
Of course Owens is hungry. So are his kids, with all the child support he owes. If he was financially secure he would have likely retired by now.
At the end of the day, Owens is an excited player to watch and I’m hoping he’ll have a good season in 2012.
