Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll expects second year wide receiver Golden Tate to have a break out year. He intends on using Tate more on third downs as a slot receiver.
“There’s nothing that we would like to see more than to elevate Golden’s effectiveness,” Carroll said. “We just didn’t get him over the hump last year, and we need to do that. He’ll be in position to take over a huge role for us.”
Tate played in 11 games this past season and cuaght 21 balls for 227 yards.
Aside from Mike Williams the Seahawks don’t have any big threat receivers and I believe Tate has an opportunity to win a starting job over Ben Obomanu.
