According to Tom Curran of CSNNE.com, both the New England Patriots and wide receiver Wes Welker haven’t made any progress towards getting a long-term deal worked out.
The Patriots begin their offseason workouts on Monday and since Welker hasn’t signed his franchise tender, he won’t be able to participate.
Welker believes he should be paid like a premiere receiver after leading the league in receptions in 2011. The Patriots clearly disagree.
