Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly believes Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots could try and sign Houston Texans defensive end/linebacker Mario Williams once he becomes a free agent on March 13th.
I honestly don’t see Belichick going after Williams, since he was still able to get a solid pass rush this season with Mark Anderson, Vince Wilfork and Andre Carter. And just like Edholm mentioned, it’s not Belichick’s style to sign big money free agents and I wouldn’t expect to change this offseason.
I would expect the Patriots to potentially draft a pass rusher within the top half of the draft. But don’t forget, their biggest need is in the secondary. They need to at least draft another corner and safety.Follow PFZ on Twitter @ProFootballZone
