The New England Patriots have already brought in quarterbacks Teddy Bridgewater, Johnny Manziel, Zach Mettenberger, Aaron Murray and Logan Thomas. They also spent some time at pro day workouts with Jimmy Garoppolo (Eastern Illinois), Kenny Guiton (Ohio State), A.J. McCarron(Alabama), Connor Shaw (South Carolina) and Keith Wenning (Ball State).
Now the Patriots are checking out Seth Lobato of Northern Colorado.
The 6-foot-6, 223-pound product of Eaton, Colo., threw for 2,725 yards in 2013, with 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He’s a former college basketball player who walked on at Colorado before transferring.
The quarterback may have got some attention from the Patriots because he was taking snaps from Colorado State center Weston Richburg, who has also received some interest from the Patriots.
Looks like the Patriots are well aware that Tom Brady’s career is winding down and they need quickly find his replacement.
