One wide receiver that has a shot at sneaking up on the NFL this season is undrafted rookie wide receiver Rico Wallace, who was signed with the Carolina Panthers moments after the 2012 NFL draft ended.
Wallace played for division III Shenandoah where he completely dominated the competition. He racked up 3,287 receiving yards and 28 touchdowns during his collegiate career.
I truly believe he has a strong chance at making the Panthers final 53-man roster. Let’s face it, the Panthers lack depth at the receiver position. Aside from Steve Smith, they don’t have any other proven receivers on their roster.
The Panthers have high hopes for guys like Brandon LaFell and David Gettis, but there’s still plenty of room for Wallace to shine and I believe he will.
