According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Green Bay Packers are releasing offensive tackle Chad Clifton today after he failed a physical. He underwent back surgery in the offseason and is clearly not in shape to play right now. Clifton is not sure if he will continue to play.
Clifton will turn 36 in June and has played his entire 12-year career with the Packers. After winning the Super Bowl in 2010, he doesn’t have anything else to play for. I believe he’ll decide to retire after a great NFL career.
