The Green Bay Packers announced on Tuesday that they’ve placed quarterback Seneca Wallace on season ending injured reserve and have signed Matt Flynn.
Flynn is expected to come in and back up Scott Tolzien for this week’s game against the Giants.
Flynn, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound sixth-year player out of Louisiana State, was drafted by the Packers in the seventh round (209th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft and played four seasons (2008-11) in Green Bay. During his time with the Packers, he completed 82 of 132 passes (62.1 percent) for 1,015 yards and nine TDs with five INTs for a 92.8 passer rating. Flynn played for Seattle in 2012 and spent time with Oakland and Buffalo this season. He will wear No. 10 for the Packers and WR Chris Harper will now wear No. 13.
