Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones confirmed yesterday that he did receive a restricted free agent tender from the Packers.
Jones has expressed that he wants to be a Packers in the future. He also is striving to become a starter.
“My main thing going through all this, do I want to be a starter in the National Football League? No question. Do I feel like I’m a starter? No question. I know we have something great here. This team can win some championships for the next couple years.”
“But, at the same time, I do want to be a starter. I don’t know if that’ll ever happen here with Donald (Driver) playing until he’s 40,” said Jones
If Jones’ tender doesn’t hold up due to a new CBA, he will become a free agent and will be able to either choose to re-sign with the packers or head to another team.
