Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley says fans will some times taunt him when they see him out and about doing normal things like going to the store.
“When I’m out and about, people will say, ‘Hey don’t drop your keys!'” Finley said, per the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “I get pretty much everything. It became second nature. It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s just something I had to overlook.”
Finley learned to tune out the negative feedback and focus on playing football.
“I just built a wall, built a shell and was a man about the situation,” Finley said, “by shutting them up and playing football.”
Finley was able to haul in 61 receptions this past season, which is the most ever by a Packers’ tight end in a season.
It will be interesting to see if the Packers re-sign Finley since it’s been reported that it’s a “coin flip” whether or not he comes back.
