Packers expected to extend Aaron Rodgers’ contract this offseason

According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Packers will likely extend quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ contract this offseason, instead of waiting until his contract is up after the 2014 season.

The reason the Packers should get a deal done now instead of waiting is because once the Ravens extend Joe Flacco’s contract, it’s going to raise Rodgers’ price, since he’s a better quarterback than Flacco.
