According to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News, Giants defensive end Osi Umenyiora will likely not be ready to return to the field this week against the Jets.
Umenyiora has missed the past three weeks with a severe ankle sprain. His ankle still remains very sore and it’s affected the way he’s been able to push off from the ground.
“The problem is the push,” a source said via Samuel.
Just like most of his teammates, Umenyiora has been battling injuries all season and right now the Giants can at least hope he’s able to come back for their final game of the regular season against the Cowboys, that could decide end up deciding the NFC East.
