With New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush set to make $11.5 million dollars in 2011, there is only one way the Saints will not release him.
Bush is going to have to face reality and realize he’s not worth over $11 million for one season. He will then have to sit down with the Saints and restructure his contract.
It’s obvious that Bush is a dynamic, game changing player both on offense and special teams. But he doesn’t touch the ball enough to warrant making what he is scheduled to make in 2011.
In the end I believe Reggie will agree to redo his contract so he can stay in New Orleans, because Sean Peyton’s offense is a great fit for him.

Reggie has already commented in an interview that he has not lived up to his own expectations and would be willing to renegotiate.
I think he would be wise to do so. The Saints will also do well to keep him, though. He has great potential.
