San Diego Chargers’ outside linebacker Jarret Johnson is back at practice, according to Michael Gehlken of the U-T San Diego.
Johnson injured his hamstring in the team’s week five loss to the Oakland Raiders. He hasn’t practice since and was inactive, along with inside linebacker Donald Butler, on Monday night.
Butler is not practicing today but there’s an optimism that he will return to practice by Friday. Prior to their missed game, Butler was second in tackles and Johnson was first in sacks. The Charger’s defense, which is currently ranked 21st overall, needs any help it can get after losing Dwight Freeney for the season.
Also absent from practice is receiver Eddie Royal. Royal hurt his toe in Monday Night’s game.
