Speculation has been growing throughout this season that both San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith and head coach Norv Turner will likely end up losing their jobs if the Chargers won’t make the playoffs this season.
Now, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Smith and Turner could end up saving their jobs at the end of the season if they continue to make a run right into the playoffs. The Chargers are currently riding a three game winning streak and are right in the AFC wild card race as well as the AFC West divisional race with the Raiders and Broncos.
As the regular season winds down, it seems that Smith and Turner will likely be fired if they don’t make the playoffs. But right now, that doesn’t seem as certain as it did just a couple of weeks ago.
