Nnamdi Asomugha’s on the 49ers roster bubble

According to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com, the 49ers and defensive coordinator Vic Fangio are waiting to see if cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha can still cover.  If he can’t, he won’t make their roster.

A 10-year veteran, Asomgugha struggled mightily with the Philadelphia Eagles the past two seasons upon signing a big-money deal. After getting released, the 49ers signed him to a one-year, $1.325 million contract with no guaranteed money. He has to make the team to get paid. “It remains to be seen how well he can cover,” Fangio said last month.

This is certainly the first time in his career that Asomugha is on the roster bubble.

They are all on the bubble
Los has to regain 2012 form. TBrown is in a contract year with an aggressive agent competing for Iupati, Aldon, and possibly Kap money. Cully has to mature.Wright has to stay out of jail and off Suspension. The rookies have to hang around for the 2014 competition with that year’s #32 pick. They get to show their stuff against a stable of talented hungry receivers, desperate for one of two eventual slots, assuming Crab and Mario eventually find their way back. Hang on Its going to be a helluva camp
