NFL personnel guy says nothing but red flags surround Johnny Manziel

With all of the off the field controversies that have surrounded Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, many people wonder what the NFL thinks about him.

Peter King of was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show and stated that one NFL personnel guy told him that there’s nothing but red flags surrounding Manziel

“I talked to one personnel guy and he goes, ‘We’re gonna have to do a lot of work on this guy because there are nothing but red flags for him off the field,’” King said, according to to NBC Sports.

There’s no doubt that Manziel is a talented player.  It will be interesting to see where he gets drafted next April.  I know there’s a chance he won’t declare for the NFL draft since he’s only a red shirt sophomore, but I believe without a doubt he’ll declare.

JOHNNY: Wake up, kid!! You’ve got great talent and ability. If you can just “be good” and stay out of the public’s eye–you’ll probably land a huge contract.
If you keep getting drunk, getting jailed, getting bad stuff (kicked out of Manning qb camp, etc)…those are all red flags. It goes to habit, pattern and practice. Means, Pro teams are leery of paying big bucks to someone who is just a drunkard or a scoundrel.
LOOK at USC’s Matt Barkley: no drunk parties / arrests; no scandals
    Now with the Eagles..
YOU need to be more like Matt Barkley or Tim Tebow and less like some punk barroom drunkard.
I’m 63 y/o and have seen it all and WE (the public) WANT YOU to succeed. Answer Tebow’s phone call: It can’t hurt and may just turn your life around.

Indeed. You are a talented person. If you can;t go back to the field, why not make it to a football coach? We’re currently having 5 STAR FOOTBALL YOUTH PLAYER POSITION CLINICS 2013. We’re training the future NFL champions.
