NFL looking into hiring replacement officials

Around this time last year the NFL had to deal with a lockout that involved the players association. This year they’re headed down the same path, but this time it’s with their officials.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, talks between the NFL and the officials have broken off. Right now the NFL has advised each team that they’re looking into hiring replacements for this coming season.
If anyone was wondering if the officiating in the NFL could get any worse, this coming season might contain the worst officiating ever.
Update: Per Schefter, The NFL is looking to hire officials from anywhere bu the BCS. They’re looking at retired college officials, small college conference officials and even Arena league officials.
