The New York Giants have received bad news all season long when it comes to injuries, and today wasn’t any different. They announced today that Left tackle Will Beatty will miss an undetermined amount of time due to a detached retina that he likely suffered during this past Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
Beatty underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair the retina and the Giants won’t know how long he’ll be out until they find out how the surgery went.
The Giants haven’t disclosed who’ll replace Beatty at left tackle while he’s out. But according to a report from Jason LaCanfora of the NFL Network, left guard David Diehl will take over at left tackle. He played there primarily before this season. The Giants will then likely make Kevin Boothe their starter at left guard.
