After a very impressive rookie season where it looked like Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III was one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL, he’s only completed 59.8 percent of his passes this season so far.
Albert Breer of the NFL Network spoke with one NFC Personnel Director who says teams have been testing Griffin’s legs early.
One NFC personnel director told Breer that teams are testing RGIII’s legs post-surgery and successfully causing him to show inconsistency in the pocket.
“He’s not very good throwing outside the numbers or reading coverages,” the front-office source said.
I believe RG3 looked so good throwing the ball last season because of how much time he had in the pocket due to the success of the read-option. With that success now gone, he’s not the player he was in 2012.
