Actions speak louder than words.
The Miami Dolphins were the first and only team to host Vonta Leach on a free agent visit, since he was released from the Baltimore Ravens. Miami flew Leach out to their practice facility in Davie, Florida just one day after his release.
Despite the expressed interest from both parties, it remains a mystery as to why the contract talks have remained at a standstill. The fact that Leach is seeking a multi-year deal, could have a possible bearing on negotiations. According to Armando Salguero of the “Miami Herald”, the Dolphins have yet to make an official offer to Leach.
With Miami having vulnerability on their blocking front, they can certainly utilize an elite fullback of Leach’s caliber. The Dolphins have been making a lot of moves, in hopes of conquering a division they haven’t won since 2008. However the question still remains as to whether Leach is a part of their plan to get there.
