San Francisco 49ers’ linebacker NaVorro Bowman told the NFL Network’s Around the League that he wants to wait and see how the Seahawks play next season after a very successful campaign in 2012 before he considers them a serious threat.
“I think people like the next best thing,” Bowman said, per NFL.com. “I think people like seeing the challenger get close to being the best. That’s what they’re doing. (Seattle) had a great game against us at their house (a 42-13 victory over San Francisco in Week 16). (They) turned heads, knowing that we were a good team, and the cookies fell where they may.”
“They’re a good team,” Bowman continued. ” … I think it’s built our division up, I think it’s made it a lot tougher and people understand now, when they play us, that us guys in the NFC West — they have to come play us.”
Bowman was then asked of the Seahawks are as good as the 49ers.
“I don’t do the judging,” he said. “All I know is, the 49ers? We work hard every single day. That’s all I know. I know that we’re going to come and play every single day.”
