Tennessee Titans’ receiver Nate Washington will be turning 30 this year. Normally at this age in the NFL, you’re probably looking at getting replaced. Couple that with the fact that Washington shares the depth chart with 3 high draft pick receivers, two of them first-rounders, that is enough to have any player worried.
Washington, however, is not worried about losing his job, according to JIm Wyatt of the Tennessean.
I am not worried about it, and never was worried about it, to tell you the truth,” he said. “At the end of the day, I am here, and I am here to do a job. I have no problem with who they brought in or didn’t bring in. It doesn’t matter to me
Washington shouldn’t have to worry, just yet. He is easily the best receiver on that team having led the team last year with 746 yards. While a low number, which speaks more about quarterback play than receiver, the fact is Washington still led the team despite the bad play from their quarterbacks.
