Muhammad Wilkerson says he won’t hold out for a new deal

Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson told Metro New York that he doesn’t plan on holding out for a new contract as he gets ready to enter the final year of his contract.

“It will be taken care of, definitely. But all that holdout and all that other talk that people were saying and everything – I never said anything like that. I’m not going to hold out,” Wilkerson said. “It’s not something I want; it’s not something I’m thinking about. I’m going to show up like everybody else and do what I’m told.”

Wilkerson showed the entire NFL this past season that he’s one of the best young defensive lineman in the league and he isn’t slowing down any time soon.
