For the third time in three years, cornerback Morris Claiborne will not play in the Cowboys’ preseason opener as he continues to nurse a sore tendon in his knee.
“I am not worried about it,” Claiborne said, per the Dallas Morning News.
Claiborne has played in only two exhibition games in his career and has sat out every preseason opener since he was drafted with the sixth overall pick in 2012.
“It’s like the third year I am missing time,” Claiborne said. “But I am in a better place than I was the last two years.”
