Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne ran for the first time today, since he injuring his knee back on August 6th.
Claiborne, who still hasn’t returned to practice, said he’ll now wait to see if any swelling develops in his left knee over night before re-evaluating what he can do Thursday in his rehabilitation.
Claiborne still believes he’ll be ready for the Cowboys’ opener against the Giants.
Head coach Jason Garrett would like to see Claiborne take some preseason snaps.
“We’ll see where he is physically,” Garrett said. “He needs to practice, he needs to play. But then you say, OK, he’s not healthy enough to do that, what’s our next best alternative. OK, may go into a game where not as much work as you would like him to have.”
