Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin told MensHealth.com that he wasn’t prepared to play last season after the offseason lockout and he plans on preparing a lot differently this offseason.
“I feel like last year I wasn’t prepared for the season the way I should’ve been condition-wise, even though I looked and felt it at the time,” Austin said. “That’s one thing that I have to keep an eye on. To make sure I’m in the best physical shape I can be.”
It was obvious that Austin wasn’t ready to play after pulling his hamstring early in the season and then re-injuring it again when he forced himself to come back too early. Even though he came back and played the rest of the season, he wasn’t the same.
