We recently reported that it might take a miracle for Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Sean Spence to ever play football again.
Head coach Mike Tomlin is more optimistic then most people. He believes Spence will play again after suffering a serious knee injury in 2012 that caused nerve damage.
“I did hear the opinion regarding Spence,” Tomlin said, according to the Steelers, via ProFootballTalk.com. “My opinion differs. I think he’s going to have a full recovery, but now you have two opinions, neither of which are expert medical opinions. Do with it what you wish.”
I’m sure Tomlin has his doubts about Spence’s future, but as the Steelers head coach, he has no choice but to be positive.
