Mike Shanahan giving up on this season?

Report: Cowboys, Tony Romo aren't talking contract
Jerry Jones not allowed in the Cowboys' locker room

After today’s loss to the Panthers, Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan sounded like he’s ready to mail it in and look forward to next season.

“Now you’re playing to see who obviously is going to be on your football team for years to come,” Shanahan said, per Robert Littal of Black Sports Online. “Now we get a chance to evaluate players and see where we’re at.”

With the Redskins being 3-6 right now, it might be time for them to call it quits, but as a head coach you can’t come out and hint that to the national media.
