Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy admits that they’ve asked tight end Jermichael Finley to tone things down in the media. So far he’s complied and the Packers are very happy with how well he’s playing in camp so far.
“He’s not in the media every day, that’s a good thing,” said McCarthy, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “That was a joke. But Jermichael loves football. He pours a lot into it. His off-season training outside the building is top-notch as far as the time he spends in Arizona and over there in Minneapolis.
“He’s where he needs to be, he’s in a very good place. I think he’s having a heck of a camp.”
There’s no doubt that Finley is a very talented player. If he can stay focused, the sky will be the only limit for him. He certainly has a lot to prove now that he’s in the final year of his contract.
