Mike McCarthy “hopeful” Jordy Nelson will be ready for week one

Earlier this week Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson underwent knee surgery and is expected to be out for four to six weeks.

Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy told reporters that he’s “hopeful” Nelson will be ready for their season opener.

“Our hope is for Jordy to be ready for the season opener at San Francisco,” McCarthy said, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
