Now that Aaron Rodgers has been cleared to play this week, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has made it clear that they won’t be holding Rodgers back in any way.
“To me, that goes back to the decision. If we were thinking that way, the decision wouldn’t be what it is,” McCarthy said via the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “The decision’s been made. Obviously it was a thorough one. And it’s time for Aaron to play. We’re going to cut him loose and we’re going to go play. We’re going to play to win.”
The Packers can’t afford to hold Rodgers back in any way if they want to have a shot at beating the Bears and making the playoffs.
