According to Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com, Drew Rosenhaus, who represents cornerback Mike Jenkins, has approached the Dallas Cowboys about a contract extension.
Jenkins is going into the final year of his rookie contract, that’ll pay him $1.052 million in 2012.
Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett on Tuesday said that they value Jenkins, “we like him,” but they can’t pay everyone right now.
It looks like the Cowboys will force Jenkins to play out his current deal and then work on an extension after the season.
