According to Darren Rovell of CNBC Sports, Nike has decided to re-sign Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick after cutting ties with him for admitting that he was involved with organizing a dog fighting ring.
“Michael acknowledges his past mistakes,” said Nike spokesman Derek Kent. “We do not condone those actions, but we support the positive changes he has made to better himself off the field.”
“Michael is excited to have a long-term and strong relationship with Nike,” said Vick’s agent Joel Segal.
Since Vick’s been back in the NFL, Nike has been giving him free products to use, but they weren’t paying him.
Obviously after a phenomenal season in 2010, it’s clear that Vick is back and better then ever after serving his prison sentence.
