On Monday, Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett told reporters that he would love to return to Seattle next season, but he’s not thinking about his future right now with the Super Bowl only a few days away.
“I don’t think about the money because it’s not in my account,” Bennett said. “You do want long-term deals, but I don’t think about it as much as some people think I think about it. I think about winning the game. I’m taking it one game at a time, taking care of this moment and playing for this team.”
The 28 year-old Bennett had a good season with 8.5 sacks, but he likely won’t command top dollar on the open market this offseason.
