Geoff Mosher of Delaware Online made a great case as to why Washington Redskins quarterback Donovan McNabb’s career is clearly approaching the finish line.
One of his main points which I completely agree with is that Andy Reid and the Philadelphia Eagles knew that McNabb’s career was on a downward spiral and that’s why they were not afraid to trade him to a divisional opponent.
To add to Mocher’s point I believe that Reid knew how to hide McNabb’s flaws so well that he was still able to still use him to win multiple division titles, play in multiple NFC title games and reach a Super Bowl.
Let’s be honest the Redskins and most NFL teams don’t know how to hide his flaws. And this past season McNabb was completely exposed as the Redskins quarterback.
I believe a lot of McNabb’s setbacks are due to his age and all of the wear and tear on his body. At the age of 34 after dealing with numerous injuries throughout his career, it’s clear that McNabb won’t last much longer.
