The San Diego Chargers signed Max Starks this off season in order to avoid a repeat of last year that saw the team starting an undrafted rookie at left tackle.
Though the team also signed King Dunlap, who has been getting first team reps so far, Michael Gehlken of the UT-San Diego says that Starks as seen as the favorite to win the starting job before training camp ends.
King Dunlap begins first 11-on-11 as Chargers' left tackle, but Max Starks will rotate in. Starks, more experienced, the favorite to win job

Starks, now in his seventh year, spent his whole career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his time with the team, Starks played in 123 games and started in 96 of them. His experience alone will probably win him the job.
