The Florida Times-Union recently caught up with Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew and asked him how his foot is doing after undergoing Lisfranc surgery.
“The foot feels great,’’ Jones-Drew said.
Jones-Drew says he’s only 23 years-old in football years after splitting carries with Fred Taylor at the begining of his career.
“I got a lot of national media out of that 23-year-old comment. That’s awesome,’’ he said.
“I just want to get back out there and play. That’s my goal. I want to be back out there with my teammates. I miss those guys not being able to do battle with them. That was tough, especially the year we had.’’
Jones-Drew says he doesn’t know what will happen yet with the case in which he’s being accused of punching a security guard.
“They’re still doing their investigation and waiting to see how it goes,’’ he said.
