Matt Forte rips the NFL over possible rule change

The NFL plans on proposing a rule change that would prohibit running backs from lowering their heads.  As we all know, the league is looking to cut down on head injuries and I guess this would be one way of doing so.

One of example of a running back suffering a concussion after lowering his head is Patriots running back Stevan Ridley during the AFC title game after lowering his head and taking a shot from safety Bernard Pollard.

Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte made it clear that he’s not on board with the idea.

It is almost second nature for running backs to lower their heads.  I can’t imagine them having to change the way they play over night.
