Matt Flynn reportedly “solidifying” himself as the Raiders starter

We’ve already mentioned that the Raiders starting quarterback job is Matt Flynn’s to lose.

According to the Sacramento Bee,  Flynn is “solidifying” himself as the Raiders starter.

Matt Flynn is solidifying his role as starting quarterback for the Raiders one year after losing that same job in training camp with the Seattle Seahawks.

Flynn entered camp with the inside track overTerrelle Pryor and rookie Tyler Wilson to replace Carson Palmer in Oakland and has done nothing in the first week to change that equation.

In the end, Pryor hasn’t improved enough to win the job and Tyler Wilson is a rookie that has a lot to learn right now.

I’m a diehard Raiders fan and have been since the late 70’s, and I’ve gone through the good, the bad, and the ugly with my team. I’m not really sure who will emerge as the starting QB for the Raiders, but I can say that I just hope that the best possible candidate that’s able to lead the team takes over at QB.

You and I both are long time Raider Fans. And I agree, I hope it is someone the caliber of La Monica, Stabler or Plunket or even Gannon. Just someone step up and be a player and a leader. And Coach Allen needs to step up like Madden or Gruden would and kick these guys in their butts. Enough of this horse crap we are trying to get better. Trying’s butt, get better, play hard and practice like champion and quit this pussy footen around. The Oakland Raiders have paid and paid players. Now it is time to represent the fans like you are suppose to. So Go kick some ass and be a professional. Have some damn heart Raiders! I love my team, but lets go!
