The Detroit Lions franchise quarterback Mathew Stafford is doing very well in his recovery from shoulder surgery back in january. It seems at this point that he will be 100% healthy for training camp.
Head coach Jim Schwartz said the following about Stafford’s condition,
“Matthew’s doing great. It’ll set him back in the short-term. Once we get into training camp he’ll be 100 percent.”
Stafford, who hasn’t been injury prone until he came into the NFL a season ago has injured his shoulders in each of his first two seasons.
The Lions made great progress as an organization despite Stafford’s injuries and limited action.. If he is able to go a full 16 (or 18) games the sky may be the limit for how well this team performs.
