According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com, people within Marshawn Lynch’s camp don’t believe the Seattle Seahawks’ running back will be suspended by the NFL after being arrested for DUI.
“Lynch’s DUI arrest falls not under the personal-conduct policy but the substance-abuse policy,” wrote Florio. “And the substance-abuse policy states that, ordinarily, a first-offense DUI results in a fine in the amount of two game checks.”
There is a way Lynch can be suspended.
“Thus, while Lynch has had a couple of incidents under the personal-conduct policy, Lynch never has been charged with or convicted of DUI,” Florio further wrote. “If/when he is, he’ll be suspended only if the league finds “aggravating circumstances,” whatever that may mean.”
Well it looks like Lynch may not get suspended this season or at all for that matter. that’s good news for the Seahawks and their fans. Hopefully Lynch will learn from this situation.
