Former NFL running back and current NFL Network analyst Marshall Faulk doesn’t believe that quarterback Peyton Manning will sign with a team from the NFC.
“The same reason why Eli Manning didn’t go to the San Diego Chargers. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to go to San Diego, it’s because he didn’t want to play in the AFC. We need to see a Manning Super Bowl, that’s what they want, that’s what this family wants. We saw the speculation with the Harbaugh’s when they played each other, and that being a possibility of being a Super Bowl match up. He will not upstage his brother and knock him out of going to the Super Bowl by going to the NFC.”
I understand where Faulk is coming from with his assessment, but I do believe the one team that might entice Manning would be the Arizona Cardinals, because of Larry Fitzgerald and the other weapons they have on their team.
In the end I do believe Manning will sign with an AFC team and I believe it’ll be the Miami Dolphins, but that’s just my opinion.

Who cares??? His days are numbered. His brother would woop his azz in a SB. He should take a desk job! Thanks for the memories Peyton.
Really dude? I’m not an Indy fan, but Peyton Manning is one of the best QB’s of all time, he will find a way to be effective. His arm, knees, etc are all fine – his neck is stronger than it was before. He is the QB, so he doesn’t get hit very often. And he gets rid of the ball quickly too, so he doesn’t take many hard shots. I think Manning is going to be a Dolphin or a Chief maybe…probably MIA though, if not they will get Matt Flynn who is familiar with Philbin.
You are a jerk. How come couch potatoes like you always have a smart *** comment about someone who has proven himself to be a super quarterback? What is your contribution to the game besides slopping down beers? Try keeping your mouth shut for a change. We ALL would appreciate it.
Get ‘em, Sue!
Whip his azz? Really? They already met on the field and Peyton and the Colts won 26-21. Nuf said.
Jerk! A lot of people care.
i knew he would never be back. i had the same surgery and you may feel good but with the first hit it would be all over. He may never walk again if it happened .My hats off to Peyton. your a hero for trying. best of luck
******** you had the same surgery, “earl.” And it’s “you’re”–not “your.”
What’s everyone saying, New York’s not big enough for the Manning boys???? You mean to tell me the Jets aren’t drooling about this possibility?? This is the new messiah. Everybody is going to make their offer but I bet the Jets have told Peyton, give us the last look. Not only will the Jets match the best offer, they’ll see to it someone names a candy bar after Peyton.
if manny was at half what he use to be he would be one of the Best in the League let your envy go and see the truth…he’s going to Miami and that’s that and they will treat him right!~
I say go to the Cardinals and if the brothers meet in the playoffs so what; Let the best man/team win. I think getting to the Super bowl and losing is a worse feeling than being knocked out in the playoffs.
peyton is a tremendous athelete and competitor, any team he lands on is going to be alot better off. mia, jets who knows. eli couldn’t fill peyton’s shoes on his best day go get em’ peyton
let’s see… if he is still that good, why on earth would the Colts let him go? Think they know more than anyone else how healthy Payton is? All I know is, he’s not welcome in Baltimore, but we wish him well!
he’s still good, but the Colts will have Luck and Peyton was due 28Mil roster bonus
i guess the colts couldn’t afford both
